Overview

Phoebe became a tenant at St Mary's Chambers in 2026 after successfully completing her pupillage under the supervision of Paula Bloomfield, Joshua Hazelwood and Ben Clulee.

Phoebe has a busy practice and accepts instructions across all of Chambers' practice areas, including Private and Public Law Children matters, Financial Remedies, and Family Law Act proceedings. She has a particular interest in cases involving diverse cultural and linguistic factors.

Phoebe brings a distinctive international perspective to her practice, having grown up in The Hague, the Netherlands, where she developed fluency in both Dutch and English. Prior to commencing pupillage, she completed a family law internship in Bahrain and volunteered in Athens, where she supported refugees, gaining valuable experience working across diverse cultural contexts. She has also undertaken pro bono work with Support Through Court, assisting individuals navigating the family court system without legal representation.

Phoebe first studied at Nottingham Trent University's International College, upon completion of which she was awarded the International Distinction Scholarship to complete her law degree at NTU. She remained at Nottingham Trent University for her postgraduate studies, completing both her Bar Training Course and masters degree there.

Phoebe is known for her personable yet professional manner, quickly building rapport with clients whilst maintaining the rigour and focus their cases demand. She provides clear, robust advice and ensures that those she represents feel genuinely supported and heard throughout proceedings. In court, Phoebe is a determined and persuasive advocate, promoting her clients' cases with confidence and tenacity.

Outside of work, Phoebe enjoys travelling, reading, and discovering new culinary spots.
