Head of Financial Remedies, Charlie Fikry presented with Red Bag

The presentation of a red bag is a longstanding tradition, it dictates that a King's Counsel can award a red barrister’s bag to a junior counsel as a prestigious badge of merit and recognition for exceptional work on a case.
Duncan Brooks KC, has presented Charlie Fikry with a red bag following their work together in the Court of Appeal in the recent case of Kanabar v Kanabar.
A KC can only award a red bag to a junior they have personally led in a significant case. Traditionally, a junior clerk presents the red bag to the Junior Counsel - Charlie was given his by Rebecca Horne, pictured.
