Overview
Sophie joined Chambers in 2023 having completed pupillage and gained tenancy in Sheffield.
Sophie has a busy practice specialising in children law, being instructed at all stages of Private Law Children proceedings from the first hearing to contested final hearings covering a range of issues. She also has experience representing parties in Family Law Act applications, dealing with Non-Molestation and Occupation orders.
After graduating with a 1st Class Honours degree in Law from Nottingham Law School in 2020, she received a Bar course scholarship from Gray’s Inn, before gaining an ‘Outstanding’ Grade on the BTC and was awarded the Taylor Prize for Best Overall Performance.
Prior to undertaking pupillage, Sophie worked in teaching roles with a focus on vulnerable children and behaviour management, beginning her previous career in the Early Years and ending in secondary education.
