Nick Davies was called to the Bar in 2006 and he was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015. He practiced as a financial remedy barrister at a set in Cambridge until his retirement in 2022. He now only sits as a Deputy District Judge (mostly in financial remedy cases) and as a Private FDR judge.
Prior to joining the Bar Nick qualified as an accountant (ACMA) and worked in investment banking valuing companies. As a result of this experience Nick’s practice at the Bar focussed on cases involving complexity particularly in the form of businesses, farms, trusts, large pensions and/or overseas assets.
Nick Davies can be instructed as a private FDR evaluator where his experience before the Bar, at the Bar and as a judge facilitates settlement in high value and complex financial remedy cases. He also provides in person neutral evaluation, as a quasi-FDR, in TOLATA, and Schedule 1 cases.
