Overview
Claire joined Chambers in 2019 after practicing on the Midland Circuit for many years. Claire became Joint Head of Chambers in 2023, and has been the sole Head of Chambers since the end of 2024.
Claire regularly sits on the Midland Circuit as a Recorder and Deputy District Judge. Claire is also a Facilitator for the 'Advocacy for Vulnerable People and Children Training'.

Claire is used to dealing with complex factual disputes and allegations of significant harm including serious sexual and physical abuse.
Claire also accepts instructions directly from litigants on a Direct Access basis.
Claire is a specialist in public law proceedings representing local authorities, parents, intervenors and children in complex cases. Claire’s work often involves serious allegations of non-accidental injury, factitious or fabricated illness or sexual abuse with complex medical issues often arising. Claire’s practice also involves proceedings under the Inherent Jurisdiction relating to medical treatment/withdrawal of medical treatment or life support and cases involving the deprivation of liberty.
Claire has significant experience in dealing with non-molestation and occupation order proceedings and accepts instructions on behalf of both applicants and respondents.
Claire is known for being robust yet compassionate advocate and is renowned for her incisive cross examination.
